Key Improvements
MODBUS communication stability Improves inter-frame timing to support stable communication and resolve previously non-compliant behavior.
Fault counter accuracy Enhanced fault storage logic to eliminate redundant fault entries and improve diagnostic accuracy.
Fault error history behavior Strengthens fault history logic and corrects memory mapping to prevent unintended motor parameter loss faults.
Temperature foldback protection Updates foldback logic to include Therm4 readings so both stator temperatures are monitored for improved thermal protection.

Recommended Action

Use I-con software to verify the current firmware revision currently installed on the motor.

  • If the motor is affected by any of the issues listed above, Infinitum recommends updating to the latest firmware using I-con.
  • If the motor is operating without issue, an update is not required unless recommended by Infinitum Support.

Hardware Compatibility

This update applies to Aircore EC Gen4 motors only. Previous Gen2/3 motors are not supported by this update.

Important Update Requirements

CIM firmware (v4.9.9) and INV firmware (v4.8.2) must be updated together using the I-con software version 2.100.0.0. Updating only one component may cause unintended motor operation.
